Deidre has a passion for bettering communities. As a consultant, Deidre has helped owners, developers, community organizations, and public entities preserve affordable housing and engage leaders in creating sustainable assets through operational efficiency and leadership. She offers 18 years of experience in the affordable housing industry. Deidre’s experience brings a range of knowledge in the areas of affordable housing federal programs, financing tools for housing development, compliance, program management, asset management, operations management and implementation, training and more.
Prior to opening her consulting business, Deidre served as a Manager of Financial Services for PTS Consulting Group where she was responsible for financial management of federal funding sources and compliance. Within that role, Deidre handled contract work for public housing authorities regarding the operations of their public housing program. Prior to PTS, she worked for the Housing Authority of DeKalb County for 10 years in various positions such as housing counselor, homeownership counselor, disaster program team lead, and bond compliance manager. At the start of her affordable housing career, Deidre served the Portland Development Commission for 5 years as a program coordinator. In that role, she worked with developers in financing multifamily housing projects and writing Request for Proposal’s for federal funding.
Deidre has a Doctorate of Management in Organizational Leadership degree. She is a Housing Credit Certified Professional, a Certified Occupancy Specialist, and a Homebuyer Educator. Deidre is a member of the National Association of Home Builders, National Association of Housing Management and Women in Public Finance Atlanta Chapter.
